Reviews

At Peer Review-AE we offer a comprehensive array of Options for Reviews to suit various needs. When scheduling your Quality Control (QC) document review, determining the CD’s level of completion will usually dictate when to bring us on board to conduct a review. We can help you decide which is better for your project and schedule.

  • Beginning of Projects is a good time to ensure all disciplines are on the same page as to what information is to be shown and where to show it. This streamlines efficiencies in the production of Construction Documents and subsequent internal or third-party reviews.
  • End of Schematic and Design Development phases reviews helps identify potential problems before they get compounded or missed altogether.
  • 90% – 100% completion QC checks are our most popular. A thorough review at this stage will identify weak points in the CD’s as well as identify conflicts and constructability issues.
  • Back-checks to ensure your team has sufficiently addressed items found in the initial review.

OPTIONS AVAILABLE

  • OPTION 1 Review includes a review of Architectural and Structural Engineering Drawings. This would include any separate Interior Design drawings as well as stand-alone Garage drawings.
  • OPTION 2 Review includes a review of the former drawings mentions PLUS, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical drawings. In certain instances this could also include Kitchen, Fire Protection, Low-voltage, and other disciplines which support or are dependent upon M/E/P Engineered drawings.
  • OPTION 3 Review includes a review of the former drawings mentions PLUS, Civil and Landscape drawings, and any drawings dependent upon these disciplines (i.e. Irrigation).

PRICING

We base our pricing on the number of sheets we are asked to review. Depending on the level of completion, size of sheet, and other factors, we assign an average review time (in minutes) per sheet and base our proposal on the number of hours anticipated to complete the task. This fee includes our mark-ups, done in Bluebeam software, a Hyper-linked, typed report, and an on-line meeting to brief team members on our most impactful findings.

As a developer, your concerns are always quality, schedule and budget. Having a third-party peer review is a way of getting at least a small amount of peace of mind on those issues. John Weaver worked with us on our MidCity Lofts condominium project as a peer review consultant and participated in a team review of the project documents. With a high degree of knowledge, thoroughness and professionalism, John helped not only to bring the document coordination in focus, but also to suggest solutions where appropriate.

I would recommend John to any developer wanting to improve the project delivery process and gain an additional measure of peace of mind.
