About Us

Welcome to Peer Review-AE, a third-party review service designed to locate errors, omissions, and coordination of interdisciplinary errors. Peer Review-AE is a valuable part of the Design and Construction team.

Founded by John Weaver, and staffed by people experienced in the design and construction industry, Peer Review-AE provides a systematic and logical method of reviewing construction documents that has been developed for more than a decade! Staff in offices in Georgia and Florida has reviewed many types of projects throughout the United States and overseas.

Because we understand the importance of Quality Assurance in this industry, Peer Review-AE can help to eliminate risk for the Owner, Contractor, and Architect. Our careful review of construction documents with an eye toward the elimination of errors, omissions, inconsistencies, and document coordination is our goal. We use the latest technology to analyze and present our findings in document mark-ups and reports that allow for qick dissemination to team meMbers and easy tracking for Project Managers.

Peer Review-AE also understands that 50% of change orders are due to coordination errors that could have been avoided, and so we target the interface and coordination of all disciplines involved in the design of buildings and structures.

At Peer Review-AE we are motivated by a guiding set of principles – a core set of tenets – which are intended to provide our Clients with the quality of service we are known for.

Briefly stated, these tenets are as follows:

THIRD-PARTY REVIEWS

A third-party review by experienced professionals is the best method of quality control and assurance. The design professional working on the project on a daily basis sometimes “can’t see the forest for the trees.”

TEAM WORK

Team work is critical to the success of the project. The elimination of change orders and excessive RFI’s prevents the adversarial relationship from developing.

INTER-DISCIPLINES

The inter-disciplinary designs of the project must not be in conflict with each other.

COST EFFICIENCY

Change orders cost money and delays in a construction project. Eliminating the errors and omissions will save money to the parties to the contract.

PROTECTING INTERESTS

Construction documents are binding to the Owner and the Contractor. To protect the interests of the construction parties the documents should be as accurate as possible.

TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE

A Peer Review of the project should be performed prior to bidding and at a point in the drawing process so that changes can be made within the document completion schedule.

I heard great feedback from your review, you educated Lou on the importance of coordination!

Thanks for your help you saved us all a lot of effort in the future.
