Quick Tips

  • Construction Drawing scales and matchlines should be the same between disciplines…
  • Elevation conventions should be coordinated during Design Development. Civil should be have the true elevation (above sea level), and conventions for the ground floor and those above and below grade, should reference the Civil drawing (for true elevation) and be consistent between Architectural, Civil, Landscape, and other disciplines.
  • Take care to coordinate plumbing inverts, underground utility lines, and drain elevations between Civil, Landscape and M/E/P. Select a discipline that will be responsible for dimensioning drain locations and setting elevations. On Podium type structures, coordinate drain locations and waterproofing details with the Structural Engineer as well as supporting beams may need sleeving to maintian proper slope for above-grade storm lines.
